POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

 

Chemonics International Inc., an international development consulting firm, seeks a Ukrainian professional to fill-in the following long-term position for the USAID Justice for All Activity in Kyiv, Ukraine:

 

Communications Specialist

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to implementation of the communications plan for the Activity and developing and implementation of the Web and Social Media Strategy.
  • Collect and prepare information for the Activity’s outreach materials, contribute to developing external messaging and maintain distribution lists.
  • Coordinate and contribute to organization of Activity’s online and offline media and public outreach events.
  • Contribute to designing, maintaining and updating on a regular basis the Activity’s website and social media accounts.
  • Contribute to production of Activity’s videos.
  • Write media products (media notices, press-releases, comments, etc.).
  • Collect and archive Activity’s public outreach materials, including photos and videos.
  • Perform other tasks consistent with qualifications and program’s requirements.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Degree in public relations, journalism or other relevant discipline from a Ukrainian university.
  • Three years of experience in public relations or communications, including maintaining websites and social media accounts, media relations, preparation of public outreach materials.
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills in English and Ukrainian.
  • Advanced MS Office user.
  • Previous USAID or other international donor experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Ukrainian legal and judicial system preferred.
