President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has proposed that the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine move to Kryvyi Rih for a period until the environmental problems of the town and Dnipropetrovsk region are resolved.
“I have a question for the mayor: do you have any free buildings in Kryvyi Rih for the Ministry of Ecology? Will you find it? Then I want to address the mayor, my colleagues: we do not have a government yet, I can turn to Mr. Prime Minister Groysman and I can offer, if you are not against it, we will find a legislative solution, so that, until we completely solve the environmental problems of Kryvyi Rih and the region as a whole, we suggest that the Ecology Ministry work in Kryvyi Rih,” he said at a meeting on environmental issues situation in the town and the region.
Zelensky noted that then both enterprises and the public, and all local deputies will be able to come to the ministry with protests, “they will know where these people live and how they solve these issues.”
