President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and his wife Olena took part in the farewell ceremony for academician, Hero of Ukraine Borys Paton. The ceremony took place on August 22 in the club of the Cabinet of Ministers in Kyiv.
Volodymyr and Olena Zelensky laid flowers to the coffin. They talked to the scientist’s family and expressed their condolences, the presidential press service reported.
“Borys Yevhenovych became a legend of Ukraine. A man whose scale is difficult to describe. I am glad that I had a chance to meet Borys Yevhenovych. Eternal memory to him and sincere condolences to his family and friends,” Zelensky said.
The farewell ceremony was also attended by Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak.
