Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak has held a meeting with ambassadors of the G7 and EU countries as part of a regular dialogue, focusing on developments around the world COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, as well as the epidemiological situation in Ukraine.

“They praised the efforts of the President and the Government of Ukraine in the context of taking measures to counteract the spread of coronavirus in our country. In this regard, a number of issues of practical assistance to Ukraine from the G7 countries and the EU to provide appropriate medical equipment and medicines were discussed,” the press service the Office of the President said on March 24.

According to Yermak, Zelensky conducts telephone conversations almost daily with world leaders about mutual support during the coronavirus pandemic.

The meeting participants agreed on the need to consolidate the efforts of the international community to overcome the negative consequences of the coronavirus pandemic for the global economy.

Yermak also informed about the security situation in Donbas and spoke about the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group held in Minsk on March 11.

“Representatives of the G7 and the EU countries confirmed their commitment to further active cooperation with Ukraine in all areas where there is mutual interest, as well as the invariability of the position in support of the reforms, territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine,” the report says.
