The United States will continue its sanctions policy toward Russia until Crimea is returned to Ukraine, Kurt Volker, the U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations said.
“The U.S. does not and will not accept Russia’s claimed annexation of Crimea. Russia has committed numerous human rights abuses in furtherance of its occupation. We will continue to maintain and strengthen sanctions until Crimea is returned. #CrimeaisUkraine,” he wrote on Twitter.
