In the investigation of the case of shooting at the car of the first aide to the President of Ukraine Serhiy Shefir, at least three examinations are needed – trasological, ballistic, and forensic, Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova said.

“We can’t draw any conclusions, even appoint examinations, until we systematize the information and analyze it. But now it is clear, based on the 20 shell casings found, the interrogations of victims and witnesses, we already know that it will be necessary to appoint at least three examinations. These are trasological, ballistic, and forensic medical examinations. We will have more information by 8 am,” Venediktova said on TSN’s 1 + 1 program on September 23.

According to her, the priority operative-search actions are being completed now.

She said that both the first assistant to the president and his driver Oleksandr Ivankov were granted the status of victims.

“It’s very important for everyone to understand what it was. When I arrived at the place where the car was parked, the first thing I noticed was how it happened. We heard different versions of imitation, intimidation, etc. No, it’s not imitation and not intimidation, when the car is cut through with gunfire,” the Prosecutor General said.

Venediktova believes that this is a murder attempt.
