Media reports claim that the SU-30SM fighter jet that crashed off the Syrian coast on May 3 was part of the 43rd separate naval assault aviation regiment of the Black Sea Fleet.

Journalists of Wargonzo Telegram channel say that, if the fact is confirmed that the Russian Su-30SM fighter jet was equipped with anti-ship missiles, this indicates that the warplane belonged to Russia’s Navy aviation rather than the Russian Aerospace Forces.
