The State Automobile Roads Agency of Ukraine, also known as Ukravtodor, has announced the start of cooperation with the Bolt taxi service (earlier Taxify), the press service of the taxi service has reported.

“For a long time Ukravtodor was associated with crisis communications. Our goal is to change this false idea, and finally change the image of the agency as a closed public institution… We see a partner in Bolt which professes the above values and has the required experience and funds to promote them together with us,” the press service said, citing Head of Ukravtodor Oleksandr Kubrakov.

As noted in the report, the main area of interaction between Ukravtodor and Bolt will be educational projects that relate to road safety, clean waysides, a culture of behavior on the roads, as well as collecting data on the current state of the roads.

“We invest in Ukraine. We consider this a promising business and will expand our coverage throughout the country. That is why cooperation with Ukravtodor is a strategic partnership for us that will help to realize projects important for the country and improve the lives of citizens,” Bolt Regional Manager Taras Potichny said.

For the first time, Taxify was launched in Kyiv in 2016 under a franchising agreement. In June 2018, the company restarted the project in the capital with its own local team, promising to enter other major cities of the country.

In early March 2019, Taxify rebranded, changing its name to Bolt.
