From Friday, Sept. 24, it is possible to generate an international COVID-19 vaccination certificate on the Diia portal, which will be valid for 365 days, the Ministry of Digital Transformation press service said.

“Almost a million Ukrainians have already generated their international COVID-19 certificates in the Diia application. Now it is possible to generate the certificate on the Diia portal. Ukrainians who do not have an ID card or foreign biometric passport, or Diia signatures, will be able to get a certificate and travel with it. After all, the Ukrainian COVID-19 certificates in Diia are officially recognized in the EU,” Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov said.

It is also noted a “yellow” internal COVID-19 certificate has become available for iOS users. Later, the department plans to launch them for Android users, at the moment it is awaiting confirmation from Google Play. The “yellow” certificate can be obtained the day after the first dose of the two-dose vaccine. It will be valid for 120 days.

COVID-19 certificates will be color coded only in digital format. There is no need to print them on paper of the relevant color.

“Ukraine moved into the ‘yellow’ zone of epidemic danger on September 23, but due to the introduction of ‘yellow’ internal COVID-19 certificates, businesses and educational institutions will be able to continue their work. This is now a common practice in the EU countries. We do everything to keep the business running during quarantine, and Ukrainians could continue to live as before,” Fedorov said.
