Russia-led armed groups violated the ceasefire regime three times in past 24 hours, with one Ukrainian serviceman reported as wounded, the press center of the Joint Operation Forces Headquarters (JFO) has reported.

“On January 1, the armed forces of the Russian Federation violated the ceasefire regime three times. The enemy shelled positions of our units using grenade launchers of various systems, heavy-gun machines and small arms…As a result of the enemy’s shelling attacks, one member of the Joint Forces Operation has been injured,” the JFO staff said in its update on Facebook on Jan. 2 morning.

Ukrainian positions near the villages of Orikhove and Novoluhanske were under attack.
