Russia’s hybrid military forces on Jan. 15 mounted nine attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas, with one Ukrainian soldier reported as killed in action, Ukrainian military reports.
According to the report, the armed forces of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries used artillery systems of 152mm, 120mm and 82mm mortars, which are forbidden by the Minsk Agreements, grenade launchers of various types, unmanned aerial vehicles, heavy machine guns and small arms. Snipers also worked on the front line.
In the area of responsibility of the Skhid (East) task force, the separatists mounted five shell attacks near Pisky and Vasylivka. The militants carried out two attacks near Pavlopil using fiber-optic gyro FOG-17 of 30 mm grenade launchers were made from the UAV. A sniper fired in the Avdiyivka area.
In the area of responsibility of the Pivnich (North) task force, the ceasefire was violated four times, namely near Svitlodarsk using 82mm mortars, near Novotoshkivske – using 120mm caliber mortars and automatic grenade launchers. Besides, the enemy shelled twice the positions near Orikhove residential area: using 152mm caliber and 120mm caliber mortars.
