You're reading: Ukrainian ministry sends Gazprom decision on seizure of Gastransit shares in antitrust case

MOSCOW – Ukraine’s Antimonopoly Committee in April sent a request to the Ukrainian Justice Ministry’s enforcement service to enforce the collection of Hr 171.9 billion, or about $6 billion, from Gazprom, the Russian gas giant said in a report.

Gazprom received a decision from the enforcement service through its office in Kyiv on May 12 on the opening of enforcement proceedings for the amount of Hr 189.125 billion (394.687 billion rubles at the exchange rate on March 31), including an enforcement fee of Hr 17.193 billion (35.881 billion rubles at the exchange rate on March 31), and the seizure of the company’s shares in JSC Gastransit.
