You're reading: Ukraine reports 25 attacks on its positions in Donbas over past day

The Donbas ceasefire has been breached 25 times by gunfire coming from areas uncontrolled by Ukraine over the past day, the staff of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said in a statement on July 1.

“The Ukrainian army has suffered no casualties in the past 24 hours,” the statement, which was posted on Facebook, said.

There were 12 attacks involving 122mm artillery systems and 120mm and 82mm mortars prohibited by the Minsk agreements, the statement said, adding that the enemy also fired various types of grenade launchers, weapons of infantry combat vehicles, heavy machineguns, and small arms.

Ukrainian army positions came under attack near Maryinka, Lebedynske, Shyrokyne, Avdiyivka, Pisky, Talakivka, and Luhanske, it said.

According to Ukrainian intelligence reports, one enemy troop was killed and another was wounded on June 30, the JFO HQ said.
