Ukraine and Hungary from October 1 introduced the exchange of information on vehicles and goods transported across the state border, according to the website of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.

“The protocol between the customs authorities of the State Fiscal Service and the National Tax and Customs Administration of Hungary on cooperation in exchange of information via e-mail about vehicles moving across the Ukrainian-Hungarian state border began to operate from October 1,” the report says.

The service said the departments will use e-mail with message protection.

“The system of information exchange will allow creating risk profiles to compare information about goods and vehicles that departed from Hungary and enter Ukraine according to such indicators as the number and range of goods,” it said.

At the same time, the department believes that the system will not only speed up customs control but also allow tracking unscrupulous foreign economic activity subjects.
