Over the past day, Russia-occupation forces opened fire on Ukrainian positions three times, without casualties. In Pisky area, two servicemen were injured as a result of an explosion on an unknown explosive device, the Joint Forces Operation Headquarters said.

“Over the past day, on September 23, three violations of ceasefire by Russia-occupation forces were recorded in the areas of responsibility of Ukrainian units […] There were no combat losses due to enemy shots […] not far from the village of Pisky, two servicemen of the United Forces received shrapnel wounds as a result of an explosion on an unknown explosive device. The servicemen were promptly taken to a hospital, where they were provided with qualified medical care,” the JFO staff said in its morning update on Facebook on Thursday.

The enemy violated the proclaimed ceasefire near Popasna, firing two shots towards the Ukrainian positions from an automatic heavy-duty grenade launcher. The provocation of the enemy did not pose a threat, so the Ukrainian military did not use weapons in response.

The headquarters reported that contrary to the agreements reached within the Trilateral Contact Group, the flights of two enemy unmanned aerial vehicles with the crossing of the disengagement line were documented. Hostile UAVs such as “Quadrocopter” and “Phantom-4” were suppressed by Ukrainian means of electronic warfare.

It is also said that in the area of Novozvanivka, the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated hotbeds of fire of dry grass.

“Since the beginning of the day, September 24, no violations of the ceasefire regime have been recorded in all sections of disengagement line,” the JFO headquarters said.
