Ukraine in 2017 sold industrial products (goods, services) for Hr 2.153 trillion, which is 21.9 percent more than in 2016 (Hr 1.766 trillion), in particular abroad for Hr 596.1 billion (Hr 466.6 billion), the State Statistics Service has said.
According to its data, in December 2017 compared to December 2016 the volume of sales in extracting and processing industry (turnover) increased by 15.3 percent (abroad by 39.8 percent), in particular in extracting industry and quarrying by 24.1 percent (by 10 percent), in processing industry by 13.5 percent (44.2 percent).
In the total volume of sales, the largest share was that of food, beverages and tobacco products (20.9percent), electricity, gas, steam supply and air conditioning (19.4 percent), metallurgical production (18.2 percent), and mining and quarrying (14.6 percent).
