Industrial production in Ukraine in March 2018 grew by 1 percent compared to March 2017, while in February this figure was 1.9 percent , in January 3.6 percent, the State Statistics Service has said.
The authority said that with the adjustment to the effect of calendar days, industrial production in March 2018 from March 2017 increased by 1.6 percent.
The service said that in relation to the previous month industrial production in March this year rose by 7.6 percent, and taking into account the seasonal factor decreased by 1.4 percent.
In the first quarter of this year from the first quarter of the past year, industrial production grew by 2.4 percent, in particular by 2.5 percent in processing industry, 2.3 percent in mining and quarrying, 2.1 percent in electricity, gas, steam supply and air conditioning.
In March 2018 from March 2017, processing industry reduced production by 4.6 percent, mining industry by 2.3 percent, whereas production in the supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning increased by 22.8 percent.
Industrial production in Luhansk region in March 2018 decreased by 14 percent compared with March 2017, in Donetsk region increased by 16.9 percent.
Regarding other regions of Ukraine, in March of this year a positive result in industry was recorded in Ivano-Frankivsk (23.7 percent), Sumy (14.5 percent), Kyiv (12.7 percent), Cherkasy (6.5 percent), and Chernivtsi regions (6.1 percent).
