The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has uncovered a scheme of financing militants in certain districts of Luhansk region due to registration of illegal enterprise on the basis of railway machine-building plant.

“Ukrainian security officers discovered that illegal armed formations, which now are occupying Luhansk region, registered the so-called twin enterprise based on the integral property complex of the rail machine-building plant,” SBU wrote on Facebook on July 29.

Russia-led forces illegally brought developed products to Russia via the state border, which is temporarily out of the Ukrainian control.

“Due to income of this so-called enterprise they paid tax to the budget of Luhansk Peoples Republic,” the report said.

The heads of the enterprise were presented suspicion of committing crimes envisaged by Part 3 of Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (financing of the actions means to change or to throw off the constitutional system and change a state border of Ukraine).
