RIA Novosti Ukraine head Kirill Vyshynsky was notified about suspicion of committing a crime, the press service for the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) said.
“The criminal proceedings were opened under Part 1 of Article 111 (high treason) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” the press service said on Facebook.
Vyshynsky was detained in accordance with the Article 208 of the Ukrainian Criminal Procedure Code.
A pre-trial investigation is continuing.
