You're reading: Rada to consider sending to Constitutional Court bill on appointing, dismissing directors of NABU, SBI

In the upcoming plenary week, the Verkhovna Rada will consider the issue of sending to the Constitutional Court bill No. 5133 on amending the Constitution of Ukraine on the procedure for appointing and dismissing directors of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament Dmytro Razumkov said.

“An important issue will be the issue of sending a bill with registration number 5133 to the Constitutional Court on the issue of appointing the directors of NABU and SBI to bring it in line with the Constitution,” Razumkov said at a meeting of the conciliatory council of leaders of parliamentary factions and groups on March 15.

Razumkov also said that at the plenary week, MPs intend to consider bills related to land reform, as well as a bill on industrial parks at the first reading.

“This week this bill (on industrial parks) will be considered at the first reading,” Razumkov said.
He expressed the hope that after that the MPs will be able to finalize the bill for the second reading and take into account all the proposals, including from business, and “make a high-quality document that will help attract investment, both internal and external to Ukraine.”
