European Solidarity leader and fifth Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said it is “a wake-up call” that during talks at the G20 summit in Osaka, Japan between U.S. and Russian Presidents issues involving Ukraine were discussed without first consulting with Kyiv.

“This is a violation of the principle of ‘nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine.’ It is part of Russia’s revenge. We kept it (the principle) for five years, so that no one would even think about doing something about us and without us agreeing first with the Kremlin. Before any contacts with Moscow, our European and American partners coordinated previously their position with us. And then they informed us in detail about how Putin’s headaches,” European Solidarity quoted Poroshenko as saying during a rally in Ternopil.

“The absence of a phone call is a very alarming call to all of us, and not just the new government,” Poroshenko said.

Putin said at the summit that topic of the Ukrainian prisoner of war sailors was raised by Trump during their meeting.
