KHARKIV – President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko at the moment cannot predict the timing of a possible decision of the UN Security Council on the introduction of peacekeepers in the occupied territory of Donbas.
“I will be honest: today I cannot name even approximately the timeframe for the decision on a peacekeeping mission, I cannot even confidently predict when this will happen … But this is exactly what Ukraine needs, this is something that meets our national interests, and the complexity of this task does not mean that we should not work hard on it,” he said on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of founding the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine in Kharkiv.
Poroshenko stressed that the UN Peacekeeping is “not peace, but definitely not a war.”
