President Petro Poroshenko of Ukraine has submitted a list of humanitarian and infrastructure projects meant for the social and economic development of the Ukrainian lands close to the Sea of Azov to the EU’s institutions and member states; European partners are expected to take part in their implementation.

“The head of state has stressed the need to broaden assistance by the European Union for the social and economic development of the Ukrainian lands close the Sea of Azov that have been suffering from the purposeful blockage by the Russian Federation. For this purpose, the President has submitted a list of humanitarian and infrastructure projects to the EU’s institutions and member states that could be supported by European partners,” the Ukrainian presidential press service said in a statement on December 12 night.
