Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has appointed Pavlo Bukin, who previously held the post of Ukrspecexport general director as the head of the Ukroboronprom State Concern.
“I want to thank ex-head Roman Romanov for his accomplishments and wish fruitful work to the new head of the concern Mr. Pavlo Bukin,” Poroshenko said during the video stream on his Facebook page on Feb.21
The president said Bukin’s candidacy was approved for the post of the head of the state concern by the Cabinet of Ministers and the Supervisory Board of Ukroboronprom.
Bukin, born in 1976, has worked in the defense industry and the Ukrspecexport state company. Since April 2015 he was acting director general, since February 2016 director general of Ukrspecexport.
In 2012-2013, he worked as deputy director of Ukroboronprom.
Roman Romanov, who had headed Ukroboronprom since July 2014, resigned and was released from the office on February 12 by presidential decree N26/2018.
