Pentagon chief arrives in Kyiv

A United States delegation led by Defense Secretary James Mattis arrived in Kyiv on August 23.

The U.S. defense secretary’s aircraft has landed at International Boryspil Airport, an Interfax correspondent reported.

On Thursday, August 24, the Pentagon chief is due to attend a parade on the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence Day, after which he will meet with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
