An analytical center will soon start functioning in Ukraine with the support of the United States, which will daily monitor the information space, identify fake news and cyber threats, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy has said.

“In the near future, one of the analytical centers of our partners will create in Ukraine a center for the daily monitoring of the information space and identifying fake news, cyber attacks, which are carried out in relation to Ukraine,” he told reporters in Tbilisi.

The speaker said the matter concerns U.S. assistance in creating such an analytical center in Ukraine.

According to Parubiy, an analytical center must first be created with sufficient instruments to study threats, daily monitoring information or cyber attacks.

“When it starts to act and gives a foundation at the level of analytical centers, we will be able to work through executive structures to fill it with deeper and professional content,” the speaker said.

At the same time, he noted that at the first stage an interregional center should be created on the basis of analytical centers of the United States, the EU, Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova to respond to hybrid threats.
