The return of Crimea home will necessarily take place, in what way – will depend on many circumstances, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov said.
“The return of Crimea home is a must. In what way – it will depend on many circumstances. We have calculated a lot of options, and we will, together with our partners, hope that this will happen as soon as possible,” Danilov said at a panel discussion at the summit of the Crimean platform in Kyiv on Monday, August 23.
The NSDC Secretary said that Ukraine is following the political and diplomatic path to return Crimea.
“But I want to emphasize that if the question arises in a different way, then our country will be ready to resolve this issue in a different way. I realize that sometimes it happens that windows of opportunity open, and when a window of opportunity opens, this must be taken advantage of. And, believe me, we will use it, if this window opens,” Danilov said.
