You're reading: NSDC instructs Defense Ministry, General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces to take steps for limited mobilization

The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) has made a decision to instruct the Ukrainian Defense Ministry and the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to reconfirm the Armed Forces’ mobilization plan in its part regarding the number of reservists belonging to the phase one operational reserve to be called arms and take measures for limited mobilization.

The respective orders to the Defense Ministry and the General Staff are included in the NSDC’s decision of November 26, 2018 “On Extraordinary Measures to Secure the State Sovereignty and Independence of Ukraine and Declaring Martial Law in Ukraine,” which has been enacted by a decree issued by President Petro Poroshenko of Ukraine.

The decree comes into effect concurrently with the law approving it.
