You're reading: No casualties recorded amid 21 attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas over past day

Russian-backed separatists have opened fire on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces 21 times over the past 24 hours, with no casualties recorded among Ukrainian soldiers, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) headquarters has said.

“Russia-led forces opened fire on the positions of our troops 21 times. At the same time, separatists used weapons banned by the Minsk agreements five times […] There are no casualties among the personnel of the Joint Forces,” the JFO HQ said in a report on its Facebook page early on October 4.

In the past day, Russia-backed separatists fired at Ukrainian positions near Krymske, Troitske, Luhanske, Novoluhanske, Pisky, Krasnohorivka, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Vodiane, and Lebedynske.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, two separatists were eliminated and two others were injured in the past day.
