Shevchenkivsky District Court in Kyiv has arrested suspects in murder of two young women in Podil district in Kyiv on Jan. 4 for two months.

“At the request of the public prosecutor’s office of the Kyiv city, Shevchenkivsky district court in Kyiv arrested the suspects in the murder of two young ladies in Podil district for 2 months without determining the size of the pledge,” a press service of Kyiv public prosecutor’s office reported on Facebook.

On Jan. 8, the investigation department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv, as agreed by the capital’s prosecutor’s office, notified two detainees on suspicion of murder of two young women, whose bodies were discovered in Kyiv on Jan. 4.

The actions of 34-year-old man and his 19-year-old female accomplice are qualified according to paragraphs 1, 6, 12 of part 2 of Article 115 (intentional murder of two persons committed out of mercenary motives by prior conspiracy by a group of persons), and part 4 of Article 187 ( robbery aimed at seizing property with causing grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The bodies of victims born in 2000 and 2003 with signs of violent death were discovered on Jan. 4, 2020 in one of the apartments on Kyrylivska Street in the Podil district of Kyiv.
