In 2021, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine will work to improve the effectiveness of relations with Ukrainians living abroad, said Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

“This will be the year of those Ukrainians who live abroad. We will work very seriously to improve the efficiency of relations with overseas Ukrainians. We will continue to move along the Asian track. We will deal with Africa more substantively. And we very much believe that we will have important breakthroughs in bilateral relations with a number of countries, with a Latin American country, with one Asian country. We will actively work on this,” Kuleba said at a discussion organized by the New Europe Center on Dec. 16.

According to the minister, the priority will be the topic of countering the aggression of the Russian Federation and the launch of the Crimean platform.

“The subject of countering Russian aggression on all fronts. This will be the year of the launch of the Crimean platform, this will be a new element in the entire architecture of countering Russian aggression,” he said.

Kuleba also expressed conviction that the partnership between Ukraine and the United States will strengthen in 2021.

“Of course, next year there will be a big intrigue and topic – this is relations with the United States, everyone will follow, write, comment on it. It will be very interesting. But I am convinced that as a result of this cooperation we will become even stronger and our partnership with the United States will deepen,” he added.
