Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has appealed to the international community to condemn the escalation of the conflict in eastern Ukraine by the Russian Federation, which led to the death of four Ukrainian servicemen near the village of Shumy, Toretsky City Council, Donetsk region on March 26.

“The Russian aggression against Ukraine is dragging on. In 2021, 23 soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were killed. Last week, Russian troops attacked the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the vicinity of the village of Shumy, as a result of which four of our soldiers were killed. I call on the international community to condemn the latest escalation of the conflict by Russia in the strongest possible terms,” wrote Kuleba on his Twitter on Sunday.

He also named the victims: 27-year-old Serhiy Haichenko and Maksym Abramovych, 43-year-old Serhiy Koval and 47-year-old Serhiy Barnych.

As reported, four servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were killed and two were injured as a result of shelling attacks by Russian mercenaries in the area of the village of Shumyof Toretsk City Council of Donetsk Region on March 26.
