Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko during his trip to Israel will take part in the International Mayors Conference and in the Israeli-Ukrainian municipal summit, the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration has reported.

“Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko will take part in the work of the thirty-third International Mayors Conference, which opened in the city of Jerusalem in Israel on February 24,” the official website of the Kyiv City State Administration said on Feb. 24 evening.

This year the conference focuses on sustainable development and security of “smart” cities, in the context of cutting edge urban development in the 21st century.

“During his visit to Israel Vitali Klitschko will meet with Prime Minister of the State of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu,” it says.

At the Summit the Association of Ukrainian Cities will sign Memorandums on Cooperation with the Union of Local Authorities in Israel and with the Chamber of Commerce Israel-Ukraine.
