Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin expects that an expanded partnership between Ukraine and NATO will lead Ukraine to a membership in the Alliance.

“The flag of Montenegro in NATO is the open door policy of the Alliance in action. No doubt, the expanded partnership between Ukraine and NATO will bring the same result,” the foreign minister wrote on Twitter.

As reported, Montenegro officially became the 29th member of NATO. On June 7, the national flag of Montenegro was raised at the headquarters of the Alliance in Brussels.
