The application of European rules in implementing Nord Stream 2 project is the only way to make trilateral talks among Ukraine, the EU and Russia effective and constructive, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said.
“There are issues involving Nord Stream 2. Our stance on them is as clear as it can be: we think that the application of European rules to Nord Stream is the only way to make our trilateral consultations effective and constructive. This will give us an opportunity to lead our discussion to a rational dimension,” Klimkin said at a joint press conference with his German counterpart Heiko Maas in Kyiv on Jan. 18.
