The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has obliged the Russian Federation to inform about the state of health of Ukrainian citizens Stanyslav Klykh, Volodymyr Balukh, Emir-Huseyn Kuku, and Serhiy Lytvynov, as well as providing them with medical care.
“The European Court of Human Rights has very quickly reacted to a request from the government of Ukraine on the state of health of Ukrainian political prisoners … The ECHR’s decision notes that Russia should by September 5 provide information on the state of these political prisoners’ health, what kind of medical services they have been provided with, and whether such services are being provided now,” Ukraine’s Minister of Justice Pavlo Petrenko said on Facebook on Thursday.
He also added that the Russian Federation must provide information on political prisoners, access to whom the Russian side has denied to Ukrainian consuls, ombudsman and other representatives of the Ukrainian state and activists.
