Iran refuses to hand over flight recorders of the Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) Boeing 737-800 crash near Tehran to a manufacturer for research, Iranian news agency Mehr reported.

“We will not give the “black box” to the manufacturer and the Americans,” said Ali Abedzadeh, the head of the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization.

He specified that the country to which the recorders would be transferred for decryption had not been chosen yet.

Abedzadeh stressed that the cause of the accident would not be disclosed until the analysis of the data of the “black box” is completed.

Earlier, the Iranian state broadcaster IRIB reported that both airborne recorders of the Ukrainian aircraft were found at the crash site.
