You're reading: Hungary donates Hr 10 million aid to Zakarpattia hospitals

The Hungarian Ecumenical Aid Service has provided humanitarian aid to Zakarpattia medical institutions in the amount of more than Hr 10 million, Head of Zakarpattia Regional State Administration Oleksiy Petrov said.

“These are personal protective equipment amid pandemic, namely, masks, protective shields, antiseptics, etc. Thus, we continue to cooperate with our Hungarian partners. Earlier, ten doctors from Zakarpattia were sent to Hungary to study the local experience of treating [coronavirus] COVID-19 patients and now they actively apply these skills in our hospitals,” Petrov wrote on his Facebook page on July 22.

He said that there are also plans to transfer a diagnostic bus to Zakarpattia region, which could get to remote places of the region.

The head of the Regional State Administration expressed his gratitude to President of the Hungarian Ecumenical Aid Service László Lehel for the assistance provided to all medical institutions of the region.
