Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite will take part in the inauguration ceremony of President-elect of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

“President Dalia Grybauskaitė is leaving for Kyiv on Monday, May 20, to attend the inauguration of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy,” the presidential website of Lithuania reported on Friday.

Grybauskaite noted that Ukraine is a country close to Lithuania. “Ukraine is very close to Lithuania. The Lithuanian people, who had struggled many decades for national independence, firmly stand by Ukraine’s aspirations for a European future and strongly support its determination to protect national sovereignty and territorial integrity,” she said.
