You're reading: Four soldiers wounded in 36 separatist attacks on Ukrainian positions

Russian-backed separatists have fired 36 times at the positions of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) in Donbas, wounding four Ukrainian soldiers, the press center for the JFO headquarters has reported.

“The situation in the area of the Joint Forces Operation remained has remained under control over the past 24 hours, on May 29. […]Russian-led forces fired 36 times at our positions, using heavy weapons nine times,” reads a report as of 07:00 a.m. on May 30, which was published on the Facebook page of the JFO headquarters.

Fighting continued near Novotoshkivske in Luhansk region, as well as on the outskirts of Zaitseve and Pivdenne near Horlivka. Ceasefire violations were also recorded near Avdiyivka and Maryinka in the Donetsk sector, and near the settlement of Shyrokyne in the Mariupol sector.

“Four of our soldiers were wounded in the fighting. They were provided with qualified medical assistance. Their lives are not in danger,” the report says.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, three separatists were killed and three more wounded.
