I photographed these television sets between 2014-18 in eastern Ukraine, in friends’ homes, hospitals, schools, military bases, hotels, shops and cafés.

From the start of the conflict in February 2014, when Russian troops took control of Ukraine’s Crimean region, it was clear, as with any modern crisis, that propaganda played a major role in fuelling division among citizens.
