On the eve of International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp (Jan. 27), Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Reuven Azman has sent a letter to Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Centre, requesting the restoration of historical justice with regard to Metropolitan Andrei Sheptytsky and awarding him the title of “Righteous Among the Nations”.
