High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell has postponed his visit to Ukraine due to restrictions associated with the coronavirus pandemic.

About this agency Interfax-Ukraine on Friday in Brussels said the representative of Borrel Peter Stano.

“Unfortunately, given the current situation regarding the COVID-19 virus, Borrel’s planned visit to Ukraine had to be postponed,” he said.

Stano noted that the EU is “taking decisive action to curb the spread of the virus.”

“This includes the transfer of all time-independent trips. Borrel will leave for Ukraine as soon as the situation permits. He was looking forward to this visit and meetings with President Zelensky and other Ukrainian partners, as well as visits to the eastern part of Ukraine to see the situation there,” he said.
