Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Matti Maasikas welcomes the vote of the Verkhovna Rada for providing the budget to the National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine.
“Welcome Verkhovna_Rada vote to grant ‘Suspilne.News’ a budget that will allow its immediate functioning. Independent public broadcaster is a vital element of democratic Ukraine’s media landscape. EU & partners will continue its support,” he wrote on Twitter on April 13.
As reported, the Verkhovna Rada on Monday at an extraordinary meeting adopted amendments to the law “On the State Budget of Ukraine,” which provides for Hr 1.5 billion for the activities of the National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine.
