American entrepreneur Elon Musk has continued his Twitter feud with Ukrainian representatives and others, which was first sparked after posting his views on Russia’s war against Ukraine and how it could be ended, according to media reports. The exchanges have also involved Kyiv Post.
Initially, Elon Musk surprised readers of Twitter with statements calling for negotiations between the Russian Federation and Ukraine and proposing to hold a second vote in the regions of Ukraine occupied by Russia about whom they want to belong to. He also expressed the view that due to “mobilization” in Russia, “Ukraine’s victory in a total war is unlikely.”

Ukrainians reacted to Musk’s political statements with memes and ironic posts.
On Oct. 6, the American billionaire made another statement on this subject. The Tesla executive replied to Kyiv Post’s criticism of his position on Twitter by explaining that he is “a big fan of Ukraine but not a fan of World War III.”
Among those who publicly challenged Musk was Paul Massaro, senior policy advisor for the U.S. Helsinki Commission, also known as the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe.
“Please understand that you are making the use of a nuclear weapon more likely. The goal of Russia’s nuclear blackmail is to get influential people to call for surrender.” – Massaro wrote.

Kyiv Post’s Chief Editor Bohdan Nahaylo tweeted to Musk Elon later on Oct 6. “Elon thanks for your commitment and concern. Please expand on your views for Kyiv Post…. We’d be happy to to run an Op Ed by you. We need to hear the various opinions and approaches and discuss.”
No further response to Kyiv Post was received from Musk.
