Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov has said that the publications about the bill on oligarchs that appeared in the media the day before do not correspond to reality.
“The project that has recently appeared in the media is not the project that is currently being considered in Volodymyr Zelensky’s President’s Office. You know that he instructed the National Security and Defense Council, the Cabinet of Ministers, and the President’s Office to prepare a bill. It is very complicated, but those comments and what is spread in the media today, do not correspond to reality,” Danilov said on the air of the Ukraina TV channel during a conversation with a journalist during a break in the Freedom of Speech (Svoboda Slova) program on May 28 evening.
He added that “in addition to the law on oligarchs, there should be an antitrust law, a law on lobbying, on checking domestic and foreign investments in the Ukrainian economy, while it is about critical infrastructure facilities.”
The fact that the bill on de-oligarchization, published in the media, is not the text of the corresponding prepared document, was previously announced by the adviser to the head of the President’s Office Mykhailo Podoliak.
