  • Kolomoisky wants the government to return his former PrivatBank shares, court case to be held on April 18. Oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky doesn’t just want money that he says was stolen from him – he wants the bank it came in as well. Reporters quoted Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky stating that he wants $2 billion in compensation for his loss of ownership of the country’s largest bank, the oligarch has decided that he now wants his shares to be returned as well.   • A lawyer linked to Kolomoisky is said to have met with NABU on behalf of Zelenskiy. Political satirist and leading presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelenskiy sent a representative to meet with the head of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, or NABU, on April 3, journalists from the Nashi Groshi investigative project revealed in a program broadcast on Ukrainian television on April 8.
  • More videos of alleged vote rigging seem to have emerged in Donbas. More video footage of alleged vote rigging in Donetsk Oblast in the March 31 presidential election has emerged over the past week. Read the Kyiv Post’s coverage here.
  • Medvedchuk has claimed that Donbas separatists agree to autonomy status. Russian-puppet entities in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts of eastern Ukraine are alleged to have “tentatively” agreed to an option of receiving autonomy status within Ukraine, said Viktor Medvedchuk, chairman of the political council of the Opposition Platform – For Life Party. As reported by UNIAN.
  • Ukraine received record breaking $14.4 billion from workers abroad in 2018. According to a report published by the World Bank on April 8, Ukraine remains the largest recipient of remittances in Europe and Central Asia, with $14.4 billion — 11.4 percent of Ukraine’s gross domestic product — coming from Ukrainians working outside the country in 2018.
  • The Kyiv Post Employment Fair presented opportunities to job seekers near and far. Around 800 job-seekers attended the Kyiv Post’s Employment Fair 2019 on April 6 at the Toronto-Kyiv Complex to check out the jobs market, attend talks and seminars, and pick up hints and tips from employers and market experts.
