You're reading: Czech Republic invites Zelensky to Visegrad Four meeting

Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš has invited President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to take part in the meeting of the Visegrad Four next year.

“We will be very grateful if Mr. President will visit us in Prague, when we will chair the Visegrad Four. Before that, we had 10 premieres at a meeting with me, now we are waiting for the visit of Mr. President,” Babiš said at a joint press conference with the president of Ukraine in Kyiv on Nov. 19.

The head of the Ukrainian state thanked Babiš for the invitations. “Thank you for inviting me to Prague for the meeting of the Visegrad Four. Probably in May,” Zelensky said.

The Visegrad Four is an association of Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, created in 1991.
