Mariupol Court of Appeal has changed the measure of restraint for the former commander of the Donbas battalion, Anatoliy Vynohrodsky (call sign Hal), from custody to house arrest, Samopomich MP Semen Semenchenko has said.
“Mariupol Court of Appeal has changed the measure of restraint for Lieutenant Colonel Anatoliy Vynohrodsky (Hal) from custody to house arrest. I thank everyone who came to support our colleague,” Semenchenko wrote on his Facebook page on Dec. 4.
He also noted that a court hearing was underway on changing a measure of restraint for OUN battalion volunteer Leonid Lytvynenko (call sign Bek).
As reported, on Nov. 26, the press service of the Samopomich Party reported that two activists had been kidnapped in different cities of Ukraine.
Lytvynenko was captured in Novohrad-Volynsky, where he and his fellows blocked the smuggling of Russian fuel to Ukraine. Vynohrodsky was detained in the case of an attack on a security guard in Kirovohrad region.
In turn, law enforcers reported the detention of a former leader of the Donbas battalion (the issue concerns Vynohrodsky) and his associate for an attack on a security guard at a private agricultural enterprise in Kirovohrad region in July.
