Bogdan Motors has informed G7 ambassadors about continued politically motivated actions and groundless accusations against Oleh Hladkovsky and enterprises of the Bogdan Corporation, the press service of the corporation has said.

The Bogdan Motors company, a subsidiary of which is carrying out government defense procurement order for the supply of automotive wheeled vehicles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, expressed its position on the allegations about the “overpricing of products.”

“Bogdan Motors’ entry to the proposal for the supply of trucks for the Armed Forces of Ukraine allowed cutting the price of this category of automotive equipment, since by that time the Armed Forces of Ukraine procured such equipment only from one manufacturer. The competitive price from Bogdan, which was lower than the similar offer, allowed significantly saving state budget money and, accordingly, to purchase more vehicles for the needs of units and subdivisions,” Bogdan Motors said.

Also, Bogdan Motors said that the purchase of Bogdan 63172 vehicles is in full accordance with resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 517 and No. 464, which clearly regulate the entire pricing procedure for the implementation of the government defense procurement order.

“The corporation once called on the international community to pay attention to the facts of manual control of law enforcement bodies and courts by the usurped power vertical in Ukraine,” Bogdan Motors said.

As reported with a reference to the NABU press service, Hladkovsky was detained in Boryspil airport on October 17 on suspicion of abuse of office and declaring untrue information.

On October 18, 2019, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office said that a notice of suspicion of committing crimes under Part 2, Article 364 and Article 366-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine was served to Hladkovsky.
